Pacific InterWest Apartment Inspection Services (PIWAIS) was founded in 2020 specifically to provide turnkey inspection and consulting services for apartment and condo owners to comply with the requirements of Senate Bill 721 (SB721) and Senate Bill 326 (SB326). As a partner company with Pacific InterWest Building Consultants, PIWAIS draws on the extensive experience of the architects, inspectors, consultants, and industry experts within Pacific InterWest to execute a complete program for apartment owners from an initial evaluation through design and repairs, as well as compiling all data records to prepare for the next inspection cycle (six years for SB721 and nine years for SB326). The California Building Industry Association (CBIA) has historically played a significant role in California’s economic strength, and its success is critical to the State’s current recovery. CBIA was established in 1943 and there are 10 regional affiliates.
